Arriving Tips in Kenya

If you have never been in Kenya before, it’s always advisable to take heed to every precaution thrown on your way to avoid getting in trouble.

A new visitor is always noticeable from far and many people may opt to offer help however being careful when accepting their assistance is of outmost importance.

Trusting strangers may lead to a loss although genuine help still exist. The following tips may help you when you arrive in Kenya and will help averting any possible problem.

  1. when planning your trip, ensure before you leave all the information about your trip, hotel, major airports plans or any other entry point is at hand. This helps you to have an idea of where to get what service thereby making your arrival stress free.
  2. After arriving and you are unable to figure out anything in the airport, ask one of the friendly airline ,airport staff, or the tour operators offices for some assistance and direction.
  3. If possible always plan in advance for a hotel pick up or airport taxis. Most tour operators and Hotels can offer the service for free or at a minimal charge.
  4. Never accept taxis that are not organized, they maybe cheaper but not worth taking the risk. Ensure you use registered taxis from reputable companies.
  5. Always keep your wallet, personal documents and valuables in a safe luggage within your reach. This will help you to take charge of it along the way.
  6. Have some money converted into local currency before you leave the airport from the various forex offices in the airport and minimizes the risk of pulling large amounts when paying for small services.
  7. Always keep small amount of local currency where it’s easily accessible to settle the unforeseen expenditures along the way from the airport or soon after arrival to your hotel.

Las Vegas Holiday Rentals

There’s no doubt about it, Las Vegas is an exciting city to visit at any time of the year!

It’s hard to believe that it this vibrant and unique American city is situated in the middle of the Mojave Desert. The place is brimming with entertainment (including the world famous casinos!), attractions, activities, hotels, shopping opportunities and a buzzing nightlife.

You will never have time to be bored in Las Vegas!

The city, in the state of Nevada, also has a great selection of holiday property rentals, so it’s an ideal destination for a self catering vacation for all the family.

The list of attractions is huge and because there is so much to see and do, you won’t know where to start!

If you want to see Las Vegas from a great height, head to the Stratosphere Las Vegas Hotel & Casino. From the Stratosphere Tower (which is the tallest free-standing observation tower in the United States!), you will get to opportunity to enjoy some fantastic panoramic views of the Las Vegas Strip and the sights of Las Vegas! The tower stands 1,149 feet above the Strip and it’s here that you will also find some thrilling rides – if you dare to go on them!

The famous Fountains of Bellagio are also a must-see during your trip to Las Vegas. Here you can watch an amazing show of water, light and music.

Another great attraction here is the Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas (hotel and casino). This replica is half the scale of the real Eiffel Tower and you can take a ride to the top, from where there are some fantastic views of the city.

You can even find some lions in Las Vegas! The MGM Grand Hotel & Casino has an incredible Lion Habitat, where gives visitors the opportunity to see these amazing creatures close-up!

You can also see some lovely white tigers, white lions, dolphins and other animals at the Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat, at The Mirage Hotel and Casino.

The Shark Reef Aquarium (at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino), meanwhile, is a great attraction worth a visit during your stay in Las Vegas. Here you can see a variety of sharks, fish and reptiles, including golden crocodiles!

All the family will appreciate the Adventuredome Theme Park (at Circus Circus Hotel and Casino), which boasts a fantastic selection of rides and attractions. This fun indoor theme park is full of entertainment and excitement for everyone to enjoy while holidaying in Las Vegas.

There are, however, so many more places to visit with things to see and do in Las Vegas. During your stay, you will no doubt want to check out more of the Strip, the casinos, the nightlife and entertainment, the food, the shops and Downtown Las Vegas, too. If time allows and you get the chance to visit Downtown Las Vegas, make sure that you get to the Fremont Street Experience.

With all the sightseeing and fun in Las Vegas, you will definitely need to check out the food and drink in this great city. You will be spoilt for choice by the huge variety of cuisine available, which isn’t surprising. Whether you fancy Chinese, French, Italian, Indian, or American, of course, you will find it all here in Las Vegas, plus lots more besides!

What’s more, if you want to shop until you drop, you will be able to do just that in Las Vegas! For example, there’s the Forum Shops at Caesars, which has many shops and boutiques etc. Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino is another great location for all those shopaholics out there, as well as Boulevard Mall, which also boasts a super selection of shops etc.
